Official PUBNAT2 Referral List

Good luck. I specified High Desert Tracon as my second choice with first being ZLA. Heres to you getting High Desert Tracon and me getting ZLA:rawk:

K-Dog,

Best wishes to you out in the high desert. Last announcement I put down terminal only, but i decided to be a little more flexible this time around. I figured that if there was one Enroute/Tracon to pick, it would be High Desert. I think they are located at Edwards AFB Tower - I might be wrong. Probably one of the most unique Tracons in the country.

If you get LA Center, that would be a fairly short commute for you - and a great facility.

Here's to you getting ZLA, or up the road at Joshua Approach w/me!

I'm curious, what were your preferences last time?

I picked GA and FL but may have been too specific for my own good. I noted I wanted Fulton Co Area for the GA preference and I think Miami and one other area in FL. Besides that I kind of messed up on my application...Even though I have been working for more than 10 years, I only listed the most recent job on it which by then showed about 2.5-3 years experience.

But in the section about the job section where it says is this your current job I had put yes, which I think should have been 3 years. Plus I have a Bachelors of Software Engineering. So, besides the fact of possibly screwing myself out of an offer, I can't think of any other reason why I would have not been selected. I mean, they don't dobackground checks till later anyways. Unless of course they looked at my name and thought; "We can't pronounce this, neeext!"

made the list as well!!! whats the nexts step from here..and a timeframe for it? anyone know?

From here on out you are just looking for an e-mail stating you have been selected for an interview and instructing you to schedule a PEPC date.

The timeline should be within 1-4 weeks. For the Feb. OTS applicants the pane held the week of the 9th thru the 13th and the first people were notified on the 19th of June.

Best of luck.

I'm just hoping since I didn't list my most current job that it doesn't come to bite me in the butt. I was a little uneasy about listing a current employer not knowing what the process was, particularly since it said as long as you met the minimum qualifications you'd be considered and the sum of all of my other work experience added up to 7.5 years anyway.

I'm not exactly sure where the FAA considers ATL tower to be, since I'm guessing that's what you were wanting to get by specifying Fulton County. Technically it is in Clayton County, but most folks that live around Atlanta probably don't even realize that most of the airport isn't even in the city limits of Atlanta or Fulton County.

That's just the mystery of this whole process I guess. :panic:

I'm pretty much worried about the same thing. I only listed my current job, which at the time I had been at for about 4 years.

I had a handful of crappy part time jobs before that one and I decided not to list them. I didn't feel that a job where I washed dishes twice a week after school was going to put my application over the edge. I can see it now. "Hey Fred, this guy says he mowed lawns for an entire summer! Can you believe that? Get him in here, we must have him."

Looking back now, I probably should have listed everything I've ever done. But oh well, it's too late now.
If I dont get picked, I'm ready to blame myself for my decision to not list part time high school jobs.

Hey! I own a lawn care business, its not all about cuttings yards. Its trimming bushes . No but really I do the accounting and bills and all that bull crap and I have become more responsible, plus I make that money.:D

Haha. I know, I'm just kiddin. I wasn't the owner. I was the kid doing the crap work for like 15 hours a week. That's what I meant when I said it wasn't necessary for me to put down. Being the owner of the business, I would certainly hope you listed that front and center!

Yeah I was just playing with you, I dont care. Yeah I listed that on my Appplication, as well as my pilot ratings, so hopefully those two things help because im only 18 and I only have two years work experience. But the company is actually pretty big, no i dont have like ten yards, I have 50 with an additional contract with a foreclosure company doing the foreclosed yards.

i'm in a similar situation some of you are in as well. i met the job experience/education requirements simply through school alone, but decided to list only a couple of the jobs that i had worked (since high school, not including all). do they want to know every job you ever worked since 16 (or past 8 years), or can you choose to not list every job and cite yourself as being a full-time student? (which i was) i just don't want this to come back and bite me in the ass if they see i worked a job i didn't list, although listing it doesn't affect the qualification status either way.

I am in the same boat as some of you. My education did it for me, but I am also close to the 31 cut off, so I have some professional jobs. I forgot to list a couple of other jobs that I worked in the past few years (part timers). I figured that if I get invited to move further (pepc or interview), I will definately bring them up, so no surprises will pop up later.

I wouldn't worry about it. I treated the application like a resume`. I won't always list every job I've ever worked on a resume`, especially if it's not applicable. We'll probably have to list it all when we do our security clearance stuff, but I don't think omitting some useless/non applicable jobs on the application would D/Q. They wanted to know what you've done to make yourself eligible for the position, not necessarily everything you've worked your whole life.

Does that make sense or am I way off base here? (I guess we'll find out).

that's my train of thought exactly... i considered it to be similar to a resume, and didn't put all information on it. it seems a lot of us did the same. i can't give exact time frames, however, for all the crappy little jobs i've worked.

I don't think I listed any employment on my application for pubnat1. I got on the referral list and was selected to go to a PEPC. (I declined my offer for a PEPC due to getting a facility that I didn't want to go to). So, I don't think you should worry about it too much as long as you supplied enough info that supports the fact that your past experience meets the minimum requirements.

Nah. You missed D-day by a long shot... June 6, 1944.:sarcasm:

:D Just gonna let that one slide...As implied, D-Day. Last week, as speculated, the Panel would have met and decided which applicants they want to move on in this process, and today would be the day that the Administrators would look over the candidates and give the unfortunate ones the proverbial ax.......that was just my wacky way of spinning it:panic:
