oh so some people wont receive this update? is that where it says that they made the list but the applicant wasnt considered?

Yes, in the past some people have had a message saying something to the extent of a referal list has been created however your application is not being considered at this time.

I realize this is probably the case.:banghead:..I don't want to have my boat sunk, since I forgot those two previous jobs I had...I intend to make sure it is brought up to the PEPC people, if I get to go or picked, so they can have when they do the background checks, etc..

So, what do you think, people...is my boat sunk or is my plane still flying??:confused:

I made an error on mine that I didn't catch until just before my PEPC. I put the wrong start / end years on one of mine. I just made sure it was correct on the SF86. That said though, my background hasn't been processed yet... not even sent letters yet.

Never have 3 boring and extremely vague sentences brought me such relief... whew...

Ok, time to stir the pot a little bit...

I went on a recent tour of Columbus tower and talked to the tower manager over there. I told him about my not-so-hot ATSAT score of 82.3 and he said that right now the way that he's heard it will go is that everyone, qualified or well qualified, assuming you pass all the drug screens, background checks etc, you WILL get a shot at OKC.

Again, we all live vicariously through other stories but just thought I'd share this tid bit of info. Don't come tar and feather me if anyone doesn't get a PEPC lol.

I have heard this as well from someone in NATCA. He was saying in the next 8 years, they plan on hiring 14,000 controllers. He said everyone will have a shot.

Is there a way we can let them know if our job times are estimated? I remember everywhere I have worked but I have no clue as to the months I started or left.

Yes, at the PEPC you do an electronic version of the SF-86 or SF-85, and it does have a check mark for estimated, next to where you type in your dates. Not just for work experience but for everything requiring dates. It comes in very handing for the personal references. Heck if I remember what month I met someone 15 years ago. The paper version you download online doesn't have that option.

I remember all the places I worked and when, but I can't remember who my bosses were at half my jobs. And one job is out of business. I don't know what to put for reference info.
 
My notice says I have been chosed to attend a PEPC in the State of California. Does anybody else's say that they have been chosen to attend a PEPC?

-Your application has been chosen for an en-route position in California #AAC-AMH-08-PUBNAT2-09140. You will be contacted when a Pre-Employment Processing Center is scheduled for your State.

If I'm not mistaken, it also gives you the option of clicking "I don't know". I can't really remember if you had that option everywhere, but I did notice it was available on something I needed to use it for.

PUBNAT1 just got the generic one everyone else is getting even for enroute. Hmm.

P.S. State is only capitalized when used as the first word in a sentence or when referring to California.
