OBAP Appointments?

What are these appointments? And what's to stop someone just a random member of OBAP from just showing up at the Delta desk? Does Delta (or the other airlines) actually have a sheet that has individual pilot names and appointment times?

You won't be able to get into the exhibition hall without a pass. Plus, I wouldn't want to be that guy that tries to sneak into a job fair and gets caught. That would be cake worthy ridicule. :)

If you're there for the whole thing you're out $1200 before food and possible transportation required. Of course, that's if you're a member. "Oh I see you're a member of OBAP, what have you done for them?" "Nothing, I got the membership because entrance to the career fair was cheaper." -- Honest Answer No One Will State

Pay to play.....

It should be like the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes mailers that come in the mail, which state that purchasing their items or magazine subscriptions will not increase your chances of winning, as opposed to just mailing the form in.

Shouldn't matter what one has done for OBAP, you've paid your money to them in joining for the career fair, and whether one has done anything for them or not apart from that, is immaterial. .

I find it perfectly reasonable to say you're not really active in OBAP.

"They're a great organization that I'm proud to support. If I wasn't already too busy with all my other volunteer activities, I would love to become more involved and will continue to keep my eyes open for future opportunities"

If anyone else uses that, I will CUT you!!!

Like being a straight guy who is a member of NGPA.

"I support diversity and inclusion in professional aviation."

While in the flight deck, going off on phobic rants. (Not you, but quite a few CAs out there)

I just can't wait for this election season to be over. Really brings out the worst in the so-called "conservative" pilots.

I typically reply to political comments with something diplomatic and non-committal. I'm too busy learning stuff for political rants. The last FO explained how to revive my Plumeria, and the guy before that schooled me on the finer points of sheet metal-working. Even if they're not old enough to rent a car, they still know something I don't. And yet, I could probably have gone without the tutorials on Tinder and Pokemon-Go.
