yeh what i should've done is just gone to und fall 07 and started flight training there, cuz i got accepted. What I did do is went to suny farmingdale for one semester. Now I'm back i the city goin to cuny and still workin on my private in long island ( probly do checkride in april). I guess next year ill ether go to another suny and go the fbo route or go into und in the summer wth my private, do all there catch up #### and start IFR flying fall 08 at und. I've also heard a lot of good things about Purdue aviation program, might be something else for you to look into besides UND, I'm doing that too. What you might consider doing is going out to long island to do an intro fliht just to see if u like flying, before putting down money for university flight school. I can give you info on the school I go to in Islip that does intro flights in the alarus for 99 bucks, but it might be a good idea to find a place that does them in the piper warrior as thats's what you'll be training in to start at UND. Taking five or 6 flying lessons for familiarity with basic turns and maneuvers, taxiing, takeoffs and landings , runways, airspace, and stuff like that I think will really benefit anyone before enrolling in a program( I know it would've done me worlds of good). You might also consider buying the Jeppesen Private Pilot manual and getting started on that garbage too.
