I'm a Navy P-3 pilot, currently on a non-flying tour, and set to leave the service on 01 April 2016. I have 2300 hours, all fixed wing, half multi-engine and have several deployments worth of international flight experience.

I am planning on living either in Norfolk Va (ORF), or Northern Va (IAD/DCA) after I get off Active Duty. Will ORF qualify as a major airport for your purposes?

Would it be worth me sending in a resume? Would it be possible to get hired and defer a start date until After April 1st 2016? Thanks for the info in advance.
 
I don't work for Dumont, but I do fly out of ILG for another 135 company. I live 15 minutes from the airport. PM me, if you want some info on good places to live in the area.
