Now THIS Looks Like a Fun Restaurant

With a name like "Solo's", I would have thought it would have been built inside an old Corellian YT1300.
 
There used to be a two deck aircraft sitting near the airport here, that was supposed to be made into a restaurant. I don't think it was the Boeing Stratocruiser. It more resembles the Breguet 763 Deux-Ponts, but in pics it looks larger than I remember. (Disclaimer: Not an aficionado, just happened to notice these two leafing through an 'Aviation' textbook today. Made me think of the restaurant to be, and then this thread pops up. )

I have been to SOLOS a few years back and it was pretty neat, You can get in the cockpit to take a pic. I flew into the springs a few weeks back and drove past it.

This is truly my goal one day. For now im trying to build an aviation themed hot dog stand. Gotta start somewhere.

I ate there a few years back. More novelty than good food. But worth a visit for the enthusiastic aviator.

Well I heard it made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs... ;)

(Which is actually an astronomical unit of distance, not time.)

The fact that I know both those things should at least put me in the running lol. By the way that C-124 is awesome!
 
I've been there, back in 06'. Did the altitude chamber at Peterson AFB and then had dinner and a couple beers there. Pretty cool place, interesting to see that old equipment in the cockpit.
 
By the way, on a peripherally related note, I'll be posting on my blog Monday some photographs I took at the War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, last week. I took the visiting grandson there.
