At least they most likely weren't wearing David Clarks in the cockpit. Did you and @Derg see that? Thoughts?

What's wrong with DC's? I've found that Telex 850s do a terrible job keeping wind noise out, despite the PNR, and I have had as quiet, if not quieter, using an AvComm headset in the CRJ.
Even with ANR/PNR, the headset should go around the whole ear, to create a better seal and dampen the noise transmitted through bone.
They don't need ANRs like ya do in the guppy. At least they most likely weren't wearing David Clarks in the cockpit. Did you and @Derg see that? Thoughts?

Perhaps. I was on a -700 the other day and it was louder than a Bus. Not much, but just. The newer 737s are as quiet as an Airbus.

Can you lump the -200s with the rest of them?I havent ridden up front on a -700, but the -200s make everything seem really quiet. Everything about those planes are loud.![]()
Yes, the -700s are loud.
The newer -800s and -900ERs have vortex generators on the nose that being the wind noise down to Airbus levels.
Our 700s and now 900s are the ones with the vortex generators. It definitely helps, but sure never gets down to A319 quiet.
