November 4th TRACON Basics

HA....I need the scratch man....I still need to buy some clothes, save up for that awesome three months in soonerville....Are you just doing the slacks and polo shirt thing or are you going blue jeans?
 
I'll probably start off with slacks & polo shirt. Once I get comfortable and get a feel for the atmosphere and what everyone else is doing, then I might get more casual with some jeans.
I just don't want to be the only guy wearing jeans, just beacuse we're 'technically' allowed to haha.
 
You know what puts some pep your step guys......Being 12 days away from starting OKC training, already received your FOL, hopefully getting our fedex package tomorrow (er today i guess), then realizing that you have come down with the F.R.E.A.K.I.N.G. Flu....well I think it's the flu, but it may well be strep throat. In between my aches and nyquil naps, I'll post if I get the fedex package today. Did anyone receive theirs today? Also, did you guys read about fellow JC'er Ben Hill.....he was killed in an accident in a C210 dead sticking it on final to Provo airport. JC has set up a trust fund....he has a wife and two kids....a few bucks from all of us sure would help. I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's parade....this was in no way my idea....just spreading the news. (sigh)......OK, I know I am annoying you guys.....but....Who has received their packets? A fellow academy classmate who is going with me to D10 received hers yesterday....and she lives in the same city as I. Also, I was informed my HR rep is out of the office for the entire week. Hope, mine comes monday, but if it doesn't I may be screwed. I hope theres nothing too important in that packet.

No packet here yet. Last I've heard (which is the same places that you read every day! :) ), nobody from PCT going to 11/4 has received their packets yet either. Here's hoping to Monday!

What's up folks....for those of you that don't follow SM, those of us in our class are planning on meeting the day before class 11/3 at 1800 at Isola Bella....it seems that most of us are staying there. Shout out if you are going to try and make it. (except those that already have over at SM).
