November 4th TRACON Basics

Boomer, can suck it. J/K.....I'm going to the game on Saturday. It's going to be a great one I think! Hopefully it will be a repeat of last year. And, for what it's worth, I'd rather a sooner fan that an OK State fan.....I hate freakin OSU....they're the Big 12 wild card, unpredictable.

Ya know UTA, I thought we were gonna get along just great, until you said you were a Cowboys fan....its going to be a long 12 weeks :chair:

Cowboys and Indians have been battling since the dawn of time, it will never cease, but in some cases the indians made truce with the cowboys. I believe we can work it out:beer:. But on a totally different note, who the hell gives Columbus, a Spaniard, the right to delay my FOL. Freaking beggar didn't even have his own boat. He's the one you should be upset with.....the indians thought they were here to share spices and food. Oh yeah, that was all in their bait and switch plan. The Nina and the Pinta were filled with trained Navy seals, Spaniard seals of course, armed with semi-automatic black powder weapons (secret of the time), dressed in plain clothes. The Santa Maria was just a guise, filled with women and children. Oh he was clever, and now because of his actions.....I'm unpatriotic if I don't eat turkey on Thanksgiving, and unpatriotic for being a Cowboys fan. (all cowboys are descendants of the pilgrams.....the hats give that away.) And finally, our FOL will be delayed because of Columbus.

(Dislaimer: All of the above is a joke, and in no way historically true. It just a way for me to make myself laugh and explain why redskins fans hate cowboys fans, and to show that occaisionally we can all get along............or is it?)


Edit: Wow, after reading this. I'm in need of some sleep.

I called two times this morning and my HR contact person did not pick up- and I did not bother leaving a message.

I did send her an e-mail on Friday to see where it was since I had not recieved yet.

We are all rooting for your FOL now UTA!!

Now the rest of us wait for that packet in the mail.......
 
I'm starting OKC on Nov 5th for EnRoute, but my HR rep said not to expect an FOL before Oct 19th, and the welcome packet even later than that. So I'm not quite worried yet.
 
Something I learned today when leaving work... When you accidentally back into a poorly parked car with an 8000lb Toyota Tundra armed with Fab Four Bumpers in blinding fog..... You don't feel it at all. Then you see a gaping dent the size of Oprah in a ford taurus rear plastic bumper, and say wow that's a massive dent! Then you question if it was you that caused the massive carnage.....You get home, inspect your man bumper and there are microscopic scratches in the powder coat....CRAP. You go back to the hospital, to find the owner, and the car is gone...No report is made to security or the police. Let's just say I'm not sleeping for tonights shift, the guilt is pouring on hard. It wasn't a hit and run, cause I didn't think I did it until I thought about it at the house.....I tried to find them and made a police report. :dunno:This was my official confession....to you Fathers of the Holy ATChood. Forgive me.

Don't lose too much sleep over it...its not like you intentionally hit the car! Besides, thats what you get for driving a wimpy little Taurus.
 
N90 huh? Have you tried to get redirected somewhere else? I'm not trying to rain on your parade or be negative or anything... but the rumors about that place aren't rumors. They haven't checked anyone out there in a LONG time. A friend of mine had 4 people in his class go there last year... all 4 have washed out (2 of them were former military controllers too....). That place is a disaster...
 
For those of us staying at Isola Bella, do you guys want to meet up on the third? I'm sure we'll be studying together.

I'm really hoping mine comes today....I need motivation to go to work tonight. I only have 6 shifts left and I am getting TRUNKY hardcore.

6 shifts??!! Wow, you're dedicated (Or, you just need the $$ before the wonderful pay cut in OKC!!). My last day was yesterday, so I'm free!!!! :nana2:
