No FOL here either....But I went ahead and made my housing arrangments. I guess I'm taking a bit of a chance haha.

Let us know what you find out when you call tomorrow!!
 
I actually did not call that day. I went ahead and made housing arrangements at Isola Bella. I hope it's a decent place.....but with breakfast and dinner served M-F....it's a lot of per diem for my pocket. Hopefully its not food that's horrible for you like doughnuts and fried chicken every night....otherwise, I'll be finding my favorite subway around town.

Hey UTAMAV, at IB did you get the roommate rate of 29.90? or just the flat 50 a day rate?

I'm thinking of staying at IB as well but for that roommate rate which includes everything else like food, internet, etc. seems like a good deal.

I got the roommate rate of 29.90 with a fellow JC'er. I am stoked, food for breakfast and dinner.....home on the weekends=lots of per diem in my pocket

I've made arrangements to stay at Kim's Place, so no IB here.... But that doesn't mean I'm not going to be looking for that study group!!

In other news, still no FOL email today. :dunno:
 
I already reserved a 50 dollar/day room with one of our colleagues here on JC. We're going to pocket as much per diem as possible to take care of our mortgages, wives, and kids.....Let's just hope IB dinners and breakfasts are decent!

i dreamed about being in OKC.....it was cold and icy, and took me over an hour to get to MMAC. As for the FOL, no dream here, but hopes are high.

Well, a guy going to OKC nov 5th got his FOL email. His HR rep was EM. Hopefully we'll see something soon. Heck, it would be nice to just get the FOL in snail mail.....making it all that more "official". Here's to this week:beer:

Honestly, guys, don't sweat the FOL too much. We had a few people in my basics class who never got one. As long as you have a class date, you're good. I didn't get mine until the Saturday before I started class. At that point, I was halfway through my drive to OKC. Granted, I only had 6 days from when they told me my class date to when it started.

I understand wanting it, though. We talk so much about waiting for the FOL, that to have a class date but no FOL is a bit of a buzz kill. Not to mention the wondering of 'What if?' when you're looking at quitting your job before you leave.

Hang in there, guys!

Incidentally, November 4th is when my RTF class PVs. Must be a good day!

This post brings to fruition, dichotomous feelings.....relieved to know that JCpilot didn't get his until that last minute and so that's obviously something that can happen, but at the same time sad to know that's probabaly going to happen to us. I think you might be related to Charles Dickens.....and if this post makes no sense.....then it's then NyQuil talking....head cold and fever make utamav crazy.

I'm flying to OKC - so the number to call for the reservation with the approval code will be with the FOL or the info they Fed Ex to you?

Dangit......I wanted mine too. <sigh> Well congrats to you. I guess that leaves me with something to look forward to this coming week. I do have one question.....did you FOL have that 'new FOL smell'?

Ohhhh yeah, it most definitely did. It wasn't like the smell of some of those 'used' FOLs.

LOL. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you UTA, and everyone else. Can't wait for OKC!

I'm seeing an FOL this coming week for UTA, myself, and the rest of the Nov 4 bound OKC folks here......
 
You know frez, I would say the same, but every time I use a :beer: for here to this week......it never happens.....so I'm jut not going to say anything this time. In fact I'm going to say.......:dunno:. And, by the way. GO COWBOYS and HOW DARE the POS BCS rank Alabama over my Texas. Here's to not getting that FOL:bandit:
