November 4th TRACON Basics

Hey guys, I thought I would start a thread for those of us going Terminal Basics starting November 4th. It would be nice to touch base with everyone before the big day arrives so we can compare where everyone is staying etc....So how bout it? Who's going on this date?

Thanks for starting this thread up.

I was told yesterday about the Nov. 4 date. Going to be looking for a roommate, probably at Isola Bella to split the cost of the two bedroom to save some $$.

Still waiting on my FOL since I have to retake the drug test.
 
I just got my call yesterday as well ---I will be in the 11/4 basics class as well! Looking forward to meeting everyone. I have no clue where I'm going to stay, or even where to start looking!

Have you gone out there for a tour at all? I've been once, and I'm going to go again before OKC just to look around again. Very badass place.

Enjoy OKC but take it seriously.
The real test will be at your facility (and OKC knows that, you'll see).
LMR will suck at your facility but that don't matter because you're a trainee hence my second sentence.

Hi PCT guys! I'm currently training there now; I went to OKC last December and got to PCT this past February. If I can answer any questions about OKC, training, or what to expect when you get to PCT, feel free to PM me.
 
I'm still waiting Frez....I spoke with my HR rep. She said she is still working on October 3rds class dates.....So, I suspect that we might be waiting until the very last minute for the FOL. My HR rep said it would be unwise to wait before we received the FOL to reserve housing accommodations. Besides, Isola only needs 48 hours for cancellation with no penalty. Dude, I hope we get them soon. I think I may call under the guise of a perdiem question, and slip in the question of FOL tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what answer I get.

Anyone curious what goes into making up an FOL?

Is it just me, or does anyone else invision a standard word doc they just edit for each individual applicant!

Anyways... I'm already thinking of an excuse to call tomorrow... :D
