Hahaha! Maj Todd Giggy, quoted in the story above, I went to IFF in the same class with him (6 of us) at Randolph AFB back in the 90s, and some might remember him in the short-lived documentary American Fighter Pilot.

What was that reality TV program with the Navy fighter pilots? One of my friends from high school is married to one of the F/A-18 pilots from that show.

No, different one entirely. This one followed 3 or 4 students through the F-15C training unit, and aired in 2001 or so on CBS.

Could have been a fantastic movie or series, but fell victim to some absolutely idiotic editing and production which tried to turn it into a "reality series" and add in a bunch of drama that wasn't real.
