Non-Pilot Operating An Aircraft...???

I don't know man ... I have a pilot's license. If I didn't have one and didn't know much about planes, I'd be scared as hell to taxi a plane. What if I panicked and firewalled the throttle and became airborne?

Unless you had the flaps and the stabilizer trim properly set, your terror would be short lived!

Our mechanics do it all the time as well. Only problem is they leave the cockpit in shambles. Plus, they never bother to leave the paper service mats on the floor. Ya know the ones, that say "THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE" with the shoe silouettes on them. What service, sheesh!

Do they leave oil stains on the rugs as well? And tune the radio to some weird station that you've never heard of?

I give up....

Was trying to post pictures of two incidents (Northwest 757 & A319 at LGA and a Mesaba Avro 85 in MEM) while mechanics were taxiing last year.
