No Way!!!

Didn't something like that actually happen with an F-15? Pilot landed, no ejection.

You mean this one. It was an Isreali

If that were me, and it were real, I would have had enough poo shooting out of me to safely eject me from the aircraft and land gently on both feet..........

There goes the final argument about needing pilots in the cockpit to handle emergencies... :)

I'd rather have a pilot up front that has the superior judgment to never get into a situation where the aircraft would lose a flight control surface:).

A broken wingtip/missing aileron is one thing, but having an intimate knowledge of whether an EFC time is going to hold or not is completely different. I'd much rather have a pilot up front looking at the weather, his/her alternates, and the aircraft's fuel burn than a computer that can't foresee a situation going to complete crap. Give me ALL the automation you can - flying a multi-million dollar incendiary device with human life on board is about decision making, not stick and rudder skills.

:yeahthat:

How on earth did the fuel not ignite from the engines? He even went into afterburn. The F-15 is an incredible machine. I want one. :)
