Nigeria: We require more bling to fly here.

I dont believe any country in Africa should be criticizing anyone about the stability and condition of their airplanes.

Ahh...half of the countries on the African continent seem to be in a perpetual state of civil war. It's hard to keep an airline in great shape when things like that happen on a regular basis.

I suppose not EVERY airline in Africa is bad news but Google "eu ban african airlines" and read up a bit.

There are certainly well intended people trying to change things there. I've talked to one at length and know he has a passion to make things better.

But, it'll be uphill all the way.

john i understand. i have been to many of those countries. airlines are the least of their worries. remember though africa is quite large and there is a lot of money being pumped into certain countries by private and federal organizations. i had an awesome experience in a caravan about 3 years ago over there, but that is another story.

bafanguy i know that most airlines over there have shoddy mx at best but there are a few airlines that know what it means to keep airplanes flying and how important it is to attract foreign money. i do agree though that there are much more bad airlines then good one.
