Yup, they showed up this last Saturday. Nice folks.

I haven't heard anything about Delta airlines showing up. We heard a rumor that Fedex is going to send over a rep from the Indy hub. I don't have the times to be competitive though.
 
Preflight competition...is that when you have to see how fast you can do a preflight? I'd rock that.

If that was case I'd stand back from the aircraft about ten feet and say "It looks good to me. Preflight complete!"

It usually takes place in a hangar with the lights dimmed (requires a flashlight usually) and the aircraft is tampered with as many squawks as possible. It could be anything from the obvious as a missing oil dip stick to as complex misrigged ailerons. It's also timed. I never got to compete in it, but it looked like fun!
 
You have 15 minutes to walk around the airplane and find as many things wrong with it as you can. There's usually anywhere between 70 and 100 things wrong.
 
Not to hijack but KLB, was that you in the AMF metro at ALB on friday? I also heard one earlier this week talking to Toronto center in the BUF/SN area. That you too?

I wasn't in ALB that day. I was there last Sunday night though. I was talking Toronto center Thursday on my way into Montreal.

I heard that about you. Luckily, not from my girlfriend. Think I heard you going somewhere up in the frozen north once when I was going to Cleveland because someone's mitsi had pooped the bed and I drew the short straw.
 
I remember that flight I believe. I was flying from MCO to CID or MLI. I flew from there to CVG or SDF and the to CVG. That was a long day!
 
You'd be suprised! Taxiing from the DHL over to the company hangar can take everything I have at the end of a long day.:D

Hey, I hear you. That was the same night the linemen at Burke basically refused to park me because the snow was blowing sideways at 35 knots. They just kind of waved towards where I was supposed to park. Then when I got in and couldn't feel my fingers they let it be known that they had an air ambo coming in and they needed me to move. Happily, I was too tired for Homicide. Just another day in the glamorous life of a freightdog.
 
I would have gladly moved the aircraft for them. I just need a GPU and they have to sit out there with me. If I going to freeze my backside off, everyones going to freeze their backside off!
