NGPA Winter Warm-Up

Anyone here going? Thinking of maybe attending as a vacation and for networking purposes.

I had a question, if you're bringing a plus one/spouse and they're non-aviation interested. What events if any do you need to pay for them? Obviously they would have no interest in the job fair portion, but what about the many other social events? Such as breakfast, and the formal banquette/showcase.

Has anyone ever brought an S.O. to these events, how did that go?

How close are you to finishing up your certificates?

Ha! Not even close, still plucking away at my IFR PT. It will move extraordinarily faster, once I find a safety pilot to help keep cost low, and complete the rest of my 50 hrs XC and 40 hrs simulated instrument time. That's the big hold up to completion right now.

If you ever make it up to MSP I'll fly with you. Been itching to get back into GA anyways!

That sucks, hopefully you get a ticket. But maybe I'll just stay home. I don't want to get a ticket that could go to someone who could actually use it.

While the sentiment is in the right place, how does that help you? I posit that you need to go for that motivation and networking opportunity to complete your training so you can move on to the next phase of your career. Every delay has a career cost to it.

Wow, looks like a few airlines have joined the party after registration opened too. Good Luck to those on the waitlist!
