Next year...

YAY!!!!

believe it or not... i'm not having too much luck with vegas or DC for next year... not sure yet what we're gonna do. :(

I might have an angle on the Imperial Palace/Flamingo side of the house.

Let me make some calls over the coming week and see what I can do.

It's by no means guaranteed.. but it's a possibility. More to follow.

What about some of the "typical" outlying hotels? Such as Embassy Suites, Marriott Courtyard, etc? Could something like that be an option? No, it isn't a casino, but that also might lean us more towards the "credibility" angle we are shooting for in the future.

I got my vacay. Yay yay.

Hay HAY hay!

My cousin just got hired at Planet Hollywood in the marketing department. I told her yesterday about our plight. She said to look her up for rates and discounts for next year.

She will see what she can do.

DOHHH!! I applied and interviewed for this job. I guess I didnt get it.

Oh, man. Sorry that you had to learn this way, she starts Monday!

She has a masters degree in marketing, and even she was having a real hard time getting a job in Vegas.

Its cool. Congrats to her. Its pretty brutal out here. Its good to see some people are getting hired.

rates in DC are too high for both rooms and meeting space...most places want to charge $10K+ just for meeting space and at least (!) $150/night for rooms... OUCH! I've got to stay under $4K at least... if not more....esp if we want to have a speaker again and av equipment.

Darn...I was really looking forward to it being in my backyard.:(:(
