Next 48 Hours Critical in Denying NAI and their application

Are you 100% sure that the NLH crews are under a Singapore contract agency?

I'll admit I'm a little naive here. But how was your sister in laws "salary" significantly less than her US based counter parts? Aren't the AA in-flight AFA? Wouldn't they have had something to say about that? Thought they had one pay scale?

About 90% sure on the NLH crews, I'm checking so will have a definite answer soon.

My sister-in-law made 1/3 the pay of U.S. based American Airlines flight attendants with no pension or retirement plan. So you can see why I find some of these arguments against NLH and NAI just a little hypocritical when U.S. airlines do the exact same thing with cabin crew.

So you're cool with your PAC dollars going to fight the Abu Dhabi pre clearance instead of talking to congress representatives about bankruptcy law changes?

You are looking at it the COMPLETELY wrong way. The PAC is used to gain access to Congress. It isn't used to pay them to vote one way or another, which is illegal.

Take off this :tinfoil: hat.

I don't get why you think I'm wearing a tin foil hat.

Tell me, oh wise one, how I need to look at it then. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of B group carriers who would much rather deal with bankruptcy issues then Abu Dhabi pre clearance.

All I am saying is that I wish we could say where our dollars go. I get that we can't and yet I still give generously to the PAC because I believe in our future.

Dude, I say again, PAC dollars are campaign contributions, they are not earmarked for lobbying efforts on specific issues. The PAC makes contributions to candidates who have been supporters of ALPA in the past or whose support we may need in the future on issues that are seen on the horizon. We don't set aside a certain amount of money for this issue, a certain amount for that issue, etc.

As you know, I absolutely hate the fact that we waste a single dollar of dues money on lobbying against the Abu Dhabi facility, but it is dues money that goes towards that purpose and not PAC dollars. Dues = lobbying, PAC dollars = campaign contributions. Completely different ways of dealing with lawmakers, but both completely necessary.

I get this. I am just airing a personal frustration with the process.

What @ATN_Pilot said.

Then run for Congressional Office to change the law about the process. Don't be bitching about the ALPA process. That isn't the issue here.
Ok, you can say that regarding ALPA committees, but congress? Come on you are smarter than that.

What you want to do is ILLEGAL! You CAN'T use PAC money on specific issues.
Do you read anything people say or do you see one or two words and piece together an argument? I said I was airing personal frustration with the process. Nowhere did I say I was actively trying to change the process. I do think though, that when you give money (from a PAC) you can attach a note to it as well. I know, that's illegal and I'm public enemy number one. This is my opinion only!

No he doesn't because I already won....again.
NO you didn't. You lost your E-180 comment. Do you want me to copy and paste all the different people (who are typed and have time in the plane) explain to you why you have no idea what you are taking about?

You are going to make me get more folks involved now.

@BobDDuck, what was the nickname of the E-170/190s when they came out? You can blame @amorris311 for my tagging you here.
