Newer G1000 & polarized lens

Did you lock the doors?
Been flying a brand new G1000 aftermarket install and this last flight I happened to be wearing my polarized sunglasses. I swear the screens used to be blacked out in the factory installs of old and now they look great.
On this last flight I turned my glasses 90 degrees and the screens black out. Is there a chance Garmin figured it out and turned their pixels (or whatever the heck it is) so polarized glasses are cool now???

Ya everyone told me I would have to get different glasses when I started flying the G1000. I personally never had any problems. I noticed this with the iPads though. If I hold it sideways I cant see it. Not sure what garmin did in this situation however. But i have worn polarized the whole time in my 3 year career lol

The Honeywell Apex avionics are great as well with polarized lenses. As for the iPad, if you grab a no glare screen protector you won't have any issues seeing it with the sunglasses on.
