I'm new to the Forum. Recommended by a fellow student pilot I thought I'd give it a try. Working on my PPSEL at the moment....all but checkride! My story (in reverse chronological order) is here: http://thecharliethompson.com

This is a new adventure for me at age 53 after 29 years in the "microchip" design business.

Welcome to the site and glad to have you here. Great job on your blog BTW! I think turns around a chicken house should make it in the PTS :)

When do you plan to take your check ride?
 
Hey nice to have you aboard! You'll like it here. Lots of great people and info. Also, your blog was awesome. How do you upload your flight from the GPS to google? Thats sweet. Good luck with the checkride when it comes up!:D

I hope to have one or two checkride/oral exam "rehearsals" with two different CFI's this month and (if the WX cooperates) I hope to have the checkride completed by the end of January. This also depends on a/c availability and DE availability. In the meantime I'll keep reviewing the material for the oral exam...... -CT :)

If you have a Garmin serial cable and plug your Garmin into your
PC's serial port Google Earth will find it. Uploading your track log
is one of the menu options in Google Earth. Hope this helps. -CT :o
