Was it scheduled like that?
Yea unfortunately there's a bunch of new schedulers who really don't seem to know what their doing.
Like the old ones really did?
THey did if you had the cajones to tell them so. THat's half the prob at colgan. Too many captains and fo's either 1. don't know the rules, or 2. cave in when pushed. GOes back to you post earlier about having a contract but knowing what's in it.

IF not, tell them 9 hrs of rest, reducable to 8, so call you back when your rest period is up and then hang up.
OR - because its a NON Union carrier, new employees are AFFRAID to speak up or put their foot down in fear they will get fired. Get Fired = Bad in this business. I know thats why I personally tried not to cause any problems.
I don't miss CJC one bit. Even the training is better at other places. No truck stop hotels, a real paycheck during training and manuals that actually make sense. But it could always be worse, like Great Lakes for example. :laff:
Now you know how I felt.. and how it feels.
Like Amber says- 'You never know how good it feels to not be banging your head against a wall until you stop'.

Scheduling has me getting 4:21 of rest tonight. They insist that this is acceptable. They're in for a rude awakening.
ALPA anyone?
Well, I'm not proclaiming that this place is better - yet. Keeping in mind that everyone drinks some kool-aid the first couple of months. But - so far - the training has been more organized and better put together then Colgan. Including the accomodations and what you are paid while here. The training materials and Company manuals are much better as well. Studying is a lot easier thanks to the organization.
I just got the Jungle jet FMS book today. Ouch. :banghead:
I think I miss the Beech already.![]()
