Based on?

If it does pass it will seemingly be a kick in the nuts of the Eagle pilot group that said no. This is obviously based on the idea that the TA is indeed bad.

Lets hope. He made mention that the "guaranteed" interview with airways will sway alot of votes. He mentioned he doesnt support it but I guess we shall see what happens.
People that put stock in those are morons. In the last 15 years how many people have "flowed through" to any major?

What questions should I ask at the interview Thursday????

Ask them why there is no report from an accident that occurred late last year in which a CL-65 had a dual engine failure and made an emergency landing? Ask them why there is nothing in the FAA/NTSB database regarding the flame out.

I would guess because it didn't meet the FAA or NTSB definition of an incident or accident. I do agree that there should be a report that was released though.

This is awesome...PSA is about to sell out all their brothers for a second time, and essentially kick Eagle in the nuts. And for what? A guaranteed interview if you are senior enough to get the call or potential earlier upgrade. Did anyone else read how they only have to put one in service in what, three years to meet the obligation? How about the insurance section? There is a hole in that the size that you could taxi your airplane through. Y'all really need to be educated on this and realize what this means for you and the rest of the industry before you vote. This is the exact same proposal that eagle was given and subsequently told them to go pound sand over. I would be ashamed if this passes. I wouldn't be to proud to ask for a ride on any other express carrier or eagle plane. But hey, whatever is best for YOU.

It'll pass.

I am confident of it.

People are scared and logical thought can not freely exercise when emotions are in charge.

What I can't figure out is that PSA is not in distress! They haven't been threatened, they aren't in bankruptcy, nothing. Why are they accepting this cramdown?

Maybe they believe this is the best they can get. Look at other groups. Who has not gone concessionary in the Regionals, lately?

Just a thought, what if all regionals start turning down concessions and demanding higher pay. FFD airlines becomes more expensive to operate. Majors see them either cancel flights or go out of business. At what point would they stop contracting the work out and take it on themselves?

At what point does some enterprising (has money) individual start another regional and just starts the game all over again. This system is not built for the employee or customer in mind.

Well unless they cancel their flights and start flying the flights they used to contract out, the only other way they could do it would be to hire more pilots... now call me crazy but no matter how bad it gets I don't think a regional pilot will ever make what a major does. And I don't think the majors will want to shut down regionals and pay more pilots a major airline pay scale. Either way you look at it someone is still going to be flying a smaller jet and making less money. Doesn't mean you have to work for the same salary as someone from McDonald's though.
