Hey guys I just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Andrew. I live on Long Island, NY near FRG but I'm originally from Estonia. My interest in aviation sparked from the constant travelling between NY and Estonia while I was a little kid.

I've been a lurker on here for about 2 years now but just got around to making an account. I found this place in my sophomore year of HS and I have found loads of advice from you guys and it has helped me tons.

I am currently a freshman in Aero Engineering at ERAU after graduating a year early from HS. I'm wondering if I should stick with engineering or go to the business side. A little too much physics and math for me to handle.

You guys are a great group of people and I hope to get to know some of you better. I'm glad to be here and to finally participate. :D

Welcome!

Personally, I really like math and science so even though an engineering degree is tough, I enjoy it. Arguably, an engineering degree is worth way more than an aviation management degree so if there is any way you could tough it out, it would be worth your while.

Welcome Andrew! Probably your interest in aviation sparked even earlier. You may remember as a little kid you were looking up at strategic bombers and heavy transports taking off Tartu's airbase. Very famous airfield it was. And the City of Tartu is beautiful I spent couple nights in the garrison there early 90s. Are you thinking of getting your pilot license?

Welcome. Wipe your feet, grab a beverage with or without mind-bending properties and make yourself at home. We get a little heated in the moment sometimes, but in the end we're all family.

We mean that. Once yous in da family, you ain't never out. Unless we says you is out. And we don't say dat too often.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Fencer, Raadi Airfield there in Tartu was already decommissioned by the time I was born. I have been there a few times but now it has turned into used car lots and drag racing. The city itself still has it's nice old charm but they are building quite a bit there especially along the Emajõgi river. I do plan to start flight training in the spring.
