It used to be grass? When did they pave it? It must have been a while back because the first time I landed there was June 2004 and by then the pavement was getting a little old and faded.

If I remember, it has always been paved. There's an aerial picture from 1967 in the flight school, I'll check that and ask Ron. I know the run up used to be dirt. We still have a grass strip between the taxiway and the runway though, the taildraggers use it.

I'll have to look at my old logbook but I think this was back in late 1994/early 1995.
