Not a flying job, but...

Just got transferred from drugs to devices.

I'll be doing interventional cardiology and radiology (stent delivery systems, catheters, wires, ect.)

Now I can officially say I dont sell drugs for a living. :)

does this slow the driving down at all or will you be on the road jsut as much? congrats on the new gig! i take it that its a better step in the right direction.

Still just as much driving. Yes, its a positive direction. Drugs are a starting point. Think of it as a drug rep as being a FO at Great Lakes and a device rep being a CA on the 737. The next step would be a pacemaker or stent rep. Those guys can make a couple hundred G's no sweat.

and let me guess thats like being a 747 ca.:) in all seriousness though congrats that a good move and bes tof luck to you.

Congrats, Merit. Devices are the way to go these days, I hear. I know a guy who does a similar thing to you for a company called Brain Lab - he's making excellent money.

Congratz.

My brother worked for Medtronic, but now works for St. Jude Medical. He is a "technical field engineer" (I believe his actual title), and is wanting to get into pacemaker sales with them. He really seems to enjoy it.

St. Jude is a competitor on a few products. Not sure about the title though. I dont think we have those where I work. :)

that's pretty darn cool!!! so does that mean you go to hospitals and sell to the doctors or you sell to the patients?
