Hi guys. My name is Benjamin Caldwell. Currently I am a senior in high school in Northport, AL. I am pursuing a career in professional/commericial flight. Currently I have applied at Purdue, North Dakota, and ERAU in AZ, but still waiting on what they say. You guys sound like a good bunch of guys so I look forward to hanging out.

Nope! But whoever Taylor from Taylorville was probably had a lot of property back in the day...

I was wondering if it might be that someone in your family did something famous, got a town (ok a ville) named after them. You said it was close to family.
 
To be really honest, I'm not sure. My grandfather owned quite a bit of property in Northport. My grandmother was involved in a pretty high profile lawsuit against the county (city? state?) when they planned to dam the river and flood hundreds of acres of farmland to create a reservoir (lost: judge and the other party were hunting partners, but in the early 1960's it was a 'socio-political impossibility' to get a fair hearing). And once again when they attempted to use imminent domain laws to capture vast swaths of the new highly-prized lakefront property back in the early 1960's to turn it over to a well-heeled developer (won that one!).
 
Yeah Northport is just north of Tuscaloosa, but not a very long drive. Taylorville is south of Tuscaloosa, like you are going to Moundville, AL.
 
Ah a couple of guys from Scottsdale. I stayed at the Doubletree there in Scottsdale. I hope live there once I'm settle in my career, such a beautiful place.
