Dooooode, this thing looks sweet...and they got rid of the de-ice boots on the wings finally!!!

nice looking aircraft, does anyone know the purpose for those protruding sidewalls of the front landing gear?
 
I heard that they still have the boots but they just painted them silver to make them look like they belong on a jet. :dunno:

That's what the pictures look like to me. In the second picture, in towards the root, you can see what is clearly a heated surface, which has a polished silver look. Then, there is a dull silver color, which appears to be a painted boot.
 
Wing should be heated by bleed air. They didn't use the wing from the 200. Took a downsized variant of the 550 wing.
 
I'm kind of disappointed they got away from the straight cockpit windows... that was a trademark Gulfstream look...

Anyway, anyone seen the new G650? It's a beast.

Well it's not an original Gulfstream plane. It was originally designed by IAI and Yakovlev OKB. It started out as the IAI Galaxy and Gulfstream/IAI started refining it first with the G200 and now the G250.
