New Eagle TA

Pedro did put out a communication that specifically said Eagle was going to stick around as an airline correct?

It didn't really say that. It said that Eagle would be around, but he talked about ground handling specifically and not so much the airline operation. I still think they'll probably be around, but a fraction of their former size. They may be wound down to nothing eventually, but I don't think it will happen quickly.

This road leads to the demise of the airline formerly known as American Eagle.

Doug Parker isn't going to play ball with groups who don't play ball with him. I think he's going to make a point of it with the American Eagle Pilots.

I don't blame them for not playing ball when the game involves Doug Parker taking the ball and inserting the ball into a certain orifice. Not a fun game.

With the fork in the road chosen by this vote, for better or for worse; where does this chosen road lead.....in everyone's opinion? What would people predict is coming up ahead?

Anybody who can should leave. Anybody who was planning on retiring....well...they're screwed. Bad deal all the way around. They probably could have sold the deal we rejected had they approached it differently.however it's been my belief all along that they didn't really want us to ratify. They've made noise about selling eagle for years. I think the while idea was to make us look like the bad guys and, if we were foolish enough to bite off on this deal then they'd really have no choice but to keep us, as we'd be locked in to a bottom-dollar, long term contract right as pilots finally start to return to the driver's seat, as it were.

The whole thing was heads I win, tails you lose.

It was a recent thing after the pilot vote. I'm not talking about the stuff from when the MEC was turning down the TA.
