New Contact at NetJets

On reserve do you know how many days you are going to be gone? Can they keep extending your tour? And can military pilots drops tours like the airlines?
Keep in mind reserve in the frac world is not the same as reserve in the airline world. Don't plan on any of those 18 to be at home. When we are on...we are gone.

Straight from the horses mouth:

The Company shall offer a Reserve Schedule in each fleet that shall consist of a maximum of eighteen (18) workdays required by the Company in a calendar month and a maximum of seven (7) consecutive workdays required by the Company in a single duty tour.

Thats why I was asking about the military reserves. Legally they can fly as little as they want. I was just wondering how NJA would take that.

Question on the time off for NetJets? How much vacation and or sick time off per year? Does this increase with seniority as well? As much as I would love to say that just flying for a living is the most important thing (and it is), time off is a huge consideration when thinking of potential employers. Also what medical are they using? And are they doing 401K?

Actually, do they have a link page that I could just view? This way you don't have to answer all of these little questions. I guess as I get older, these things can become more important than salary (though salary is very important).

Sick time accrues 1 day per month. Most of us carry several weeks of sick days. The new CBA allows for us to sell back unused sick days.

2 weeks per year for new hires and grows to 3 and 4 weeks with seniority.
Each "week" of vacation is 21 days.

Aetna

Yes, 50% match

This one has most of what you asked for. http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/fractional/netjets-20050307109.htm

NJA Capt.... Thank you vey much for the info. Seems like a very good company with decent benefits. Congrats on the new contract (pilots). It will a bit before I can move to that level, but it seems to be what I am looking for. Thanks again...

So where do most NetJet pilots come from, the 135 world and military? Is it possible to commute? All the cities except for Dallas and Columbus are fairly expensive. I'm years away from any of the requirements but it looks like a really great place to work. The pay looks great. My Dad told me there are still a lot of guys that come from the Fractional world to Southwest. He said that they always say the schedule is much better at Southwest.

All over the board. There are many ex-military (especially C12...a few fighter guys). Currently we are hiring a lot of regional pilots and retired major pilots. Honestly, there are people here from every imaginable background.

2)Depends on what you consider commuting?
If you mean jumpseating to work.....No
If you mean live somewhere other than your domicile....Yes, but you have to get yourself there somehow.

Once upon a time.....they were all going to Delta. The few that are leaving now are going to SWA and JBL.
