New CFI

Er crap I really mis-typed my original post. I busted my first attempt doing 8s on Pylons.

Either way it's done! And I feel unstoppable!

Super congrats to the OP!

As an aside, to anyone who would like to answer, and certainly not to take away from the OP's thread. But do airlines (regional or legacy) penalize individuals who have busted checkrides? I had to do a repeat on my PPL. And with my training restarting, it's a worry of mine, concerning the future swath of checkrides yet to come. Example. Over on APC, I often read that besides the former quick upgrades, the reason that individuals go to Mesa. Or are lifers at Mesa,is because they have too many busted checkrides. And can't get on with a "top tier" regional as a result. Or they can't escape "regional hell", for the same reasons. Any truth to this?

Congrats!

I have multiple checkride failures and it hasn't really slowed me down. As long as you have a good attitude and can learn from them then your all set.

Believe less than 1% of what you read on APC, that will help your concerns greatly.

Congrats Man!!!

I was told after passing my checkride that the next 300 or so hours are gonna be the most interesting, terrifying, and most educational hours of your flying career to date. Boy they were right.

Congrats! The learning curve the first few months of instructing is as steep as those first few months in your PPL days.... have fun!
I am 4 months into my CFI job and I feel like it's always gonna be steep.

Not in a bad way, but I swear I never feel like I know enough which just leads me to continue and continue to study. I suppose that's not a bad thing.
