New at Flight Safety Academy

First of all, who said I was doing the program? Do I beleive in the program and Flight Safety's ability to take these pilots from low time to a CRJ? Yes I do. As a Flight safety grad and instructor I would sure think you would too.

Sorry for the assumptions. I have no doubt as to FSI's abilities to train someone to that level whatsoever. I do have my doubts as to the overall experience level of a 350 hr. RJ pilot- regardless of their actual flying ability. I also doubt the sanity of someone willing to pay an additional $22k on top of what FSI costs just to get to an airline job, MAYBE 8-12 months sooner.

Oh, and make no mistake, I'm not an FSI instructor. They rejected me (twice). Their loss, but it turns out it was the best thing that ever could've happened to me.

Anyways, I've got no problem with people who choose to go this route. They're not at any advantage over me, since I really have no interest in flying for the airlines. If they want to put themselves further into a financial hole on an RJ pilots salary and risk being furloughed sometime down the line, thats their choice.

i know i said i wasn't going to reply anymore, but i just saw this on another board. a gulfstream guy just got hired on a pinnacle with 500 hrs. a captain replied back that the people who didn't pft there are in the minority. he also refered to them as having to take on many additional duties with these low time FO'S. the current conditions are ripe for this type of practice to spread.

Yeah, that Gulfstream thing is a whole other ballgame. Let's try to look at FSA'S program for what it is and NOT classify it in the same category as Gulfstreams.

A fellow FSA Grad went ot do the Gulfstream thing and was shown the door at 250 hours. Before they shut the door they said....Next
