You are looking at the newest ATP!!

Went to the ATP school in Arlington, TX (KGKY) and flew with Matt (The Italian)! Reason for going there from Tennessee is the $995 1-Day ATP program.

The course is very straight-forward, meaning you need to come to class knowing everything in the study manual. If you come knowing, then it will be easy. But if you come with the need to learn (not studying on your own), then it might require more hours of flying and studying.

It took me a little while getting use to flying in a twin (since being furloughed) on the first flight, but by the second flight it all came back to memory. The instructors know the examiners pretty well to know the questions they ask specifically to where there are no surprises.

The checkride flying could have been better, but I'm happy that I've finished it before the snow came in yesterday. The biggest thing is to act as PIC and fly the airplane before you do anything else.

I would like to thank Jeremy for all of the information given, he runs a tight ship there and explains things pretty well.

I would also recommend to anyone else that if you want to get your ratings fast by studying very hard and not partying, then go to KGKY's ATP in Arlington, TX.

In the end, I personally saved $330 by flying to Dallas, getting a hotel and rental car with food than going to the other locations that ATP has at the higher prices.

Congrats! :) NICE when you don't have to worry about the feds upping part-121 mins to 1500 hrs, eh? :)

Nice Congrats!!; looking forward this coming year to follow the same steps...gotto be 23 first!!!!:D wasn't the cost 1,995?

Thinking now to get my JAA license since I heard that it is easier once you have your ATP. This will work out especially if ASA doesn't recall anyone in 2010.

Is this you?

DAAAAAYUM you're ugly.

Regardless, congratulations. I remember the feeling of accomplishment when I got mine. You're at the top now.

I might just do this myself.

My newest kick:

This is a professional advancement for a pilot. Would it be tax deductable?

My earnings are low enough that I usually get a fat refund, etc.

It'd be nice to just up and get it out of the way.

Probably yes, since your employer will likely require it (at some point anyway).

I deduct all of my training I do for my day job (that my employer doesn't pay for already). Economist and WSJ subscriptions? Tax deductions. Flying for currency? Tax deduction (Hey, I'm a commercial pilot, counts against the income I made from flying). Hell, the laptop I use for trading stocks was a tax deduction. NJC 2010 may well be a tax deduction, you are there looking for a job, right? ;)

Find a good CPA, should be easy, they spend a lot of time in airports.
