I booked a flight on skybus for ten dollars once... but then they disappeared. They returned the ten bucks tho!

Me too! What a shame too, I was going to do a documentary on them.

True Story: They went under the day after the CEO of Skybus e-mailed me telling me he wanted to buy a photo from me for their PR stuff but then was appalled by the comment I left on the photo. He sent me what was pretty much an essay defending their business plan. Driving home from school the next day I heard on the radio that Skybus died. Was I wrong to laugh so hard?

I wouldn't go quite that far yet. They say they are suspending operations because EWR wouldn't give them any slots (for good reason!). I think they may try to start again once they find a different market.

Yeah, so it turns out I haven't won the bet (yet), which was that they'd be out of business within 120 days of their first flight. I read an article where they announced canceling service to Toledo. I wrongly assumed that meant they had already provided service to Toledo. Oh well. Also, as someone already said, suspending operations is not the same as ceasing operations. I'm still confident.

There are some rumors going around about them flying sometime in October. If there are any Miami Air guys on here, they might be able to fill us in a little better. They were doing contract flying for Jet America.
