Never do I ever

pffffffffft ..... just back the fuel truck up next to it and stand on the roof. Our 5k truck was perfect for that task. Especially when it was dumping down the rain.

PS MU-2's should all be destroyed. They suck to Fuel/Fly/Ride in.:dunno:

Haha that's what I do!

Oh, and inboards on most King Airs SUCK! I don't know what it is, but it was impossible for me to get comfortable either leaning on the ladder or trying to sit on the wing enough to be able to fuel it. Had to do all kinds of weird contortionist stuff to see in the fuel tank or see the meter on the truck. Glad they fixed it on the newer models.

I hate any Eurocopter the most, sans the A-Star. They have the NATO nozzle that either requires a horrible rubber adapter, or you have to go to a lockbox to get the straight through nozzle. After all of that, the helicopter rewards you with a nice JetA shower.

Nothing beats backing up to a Connie 580 and climbing halfway up on the wing to fuel it.

LOL, I had the same problem with them too.

200 is fine. C90, fml.

Pumping 1500 gallons of 100LL into a Convair 340 isn't very fun. Your hand's get really sore holding the nozzle's deadman.

Oh, how could I forget RV's with the TINY fuel tank openings. Grumman Tigers/Cheetahs/Whatevers were really bad about that too. You'd be going fine and then it'd almost come flying out like a geyser. The Eagle 540 (AWESOME biplane) seemed pretty bad, you had to connect the nozzle to a 2 ft long rubber hose to fuel that one, but fortunately the owner was really cool and volunteered to fuel it himself everytime.

I don't mind fueling King Airs one bit. As far as the inboards, get up on the ladder, lay down on the wing and 80 gallons later, you're done.

Only problem I've ever had is the outboards. Annoying when they bubble up and get fuel droplets EVERYWHERE within a 4 ft radius.

The tweets were fun when you had to have someone sit on the tail so you could get extra fuel into the tanks.

I hated it when the lear guys would pack a wing. Always ended up cleaning up fuel.
