How long does it take to bid to one of the >40k aircraft? I cant imagine a new hire would be placed in one.

How long does it take to bid to one of the >40k aircraft? I cant imagine a new hire would be placed in one.

It will take a long time, as current SIC can't even hold a SIC bid on an over 40k aircraft. Currently all vacancies being filled by PICs who are bidding down.

Why would they do that? I've heard: international travel, better bidding seniority for vacations and schedule, getting ready to leave/retire, etc.
