Don't count on it. A couple of times per year I will manage an hour or two on a beach somewhere. Most of the time you spend the night, (a)you are too tired to care, (b)you don't have enough time off or (c) The hotel isn't close to the beach. Just make a mental note of the location and use your FF points to take your wife there for free later. It is not like the airlines where you know your layovers a month in advance and know you will have 20 hours off.

Contractually speaking, 10 hours is the minimum. The most I have spent is 5 days. Your average will be 12-14 hours off. You never know how long you are staying until you get there.....if you even go. We don't even tell family members when we are coming to town. Most of the time it will change before you get there or another city is added at the end of the day. If you have to know where you'll be a week in advance....don't come here.

The company pays for meals during flight duty hours and also pays $1.70/hr domestic, $2.50/hr International per diem.
