I was wondering if you get to choose your base as well. Seems to me that they have bases at just about all airports with airlines services (or at least international service). Thought I read it somewhere, then again, this was over a year ago though.

You do get to choose at will. And can change, I believe, twice a year.
Of the 100 airports it ends up being roughly any airport that has some sort of mainline service, plus a couple of the big GA airports. Its all defined in their contract.
