Lol. You poor defense guys. Such an anemic funding but it drips for decades when any other private business would have folded or gone a different way. It's odd, I started on Super Hornet during EMD phase at McDonnell-Douglas, came back to it during LRIP in retrofit engineering, here I am 18 years later supporting it from a major supplier. Can't get away from the damn thing. The JSF fiasco and extended G purchases have been a blessing so far, but I see the end of the tunnel with FY15 numbers, or lack there of. 24 years in defense aviation, I need to move to the commercial side soon......
Yeah.... Being from NE it's incredibly hard to imagine even seeing a CRJ 200 filling up in those cities to Denver or wherever. Grand island would be the only one but is already serviced by American eagle or envoy or whatever the hell it is and allegiant twice a week. But perhaps I'm wrongBummer.
Means more opportunities for mainline.
Great Lakes is one of the few companies I wouldn't mind falling off the face of the earth.
I hate when they do that. But then who would fill the frequencies with SEEEEEEEYA! ?

I just don't understand why they do it so consistently across their pilot group.
It's a thing. Say what you want about the company, but the pilot group is one of the best out there.

What is so unprofessional about providing a valediction?
Oh...so...your issue isn't with saying See ya, then?
Perhaps be more descriptive in what your real beef is with whomever is doing it might assist those of us in understanding the conflict.
My beef is with the non-standard, idiot sounding radio calls.
Saying stupid crap on the radio because "we're the company that does that" isn't.
