“The certificate holder’s ability to initiate, conduct & terminate.... basically to prevent Platinum Jet from happening again.”

What do you mean by prevent Platinum Jet from happening again? Do you mean preventing Platinum from pairing a inexperienced crew together and allowing an SIC=0 to fly the plane?

By SIC-0, I assume you’re referring to the most recent TEB accident involving the LearJet. If so that is a separate accident. A few years ago there was an overrun off of runway 6 in TEB, the company involved was Platinum Jet. The link in my last post was the NTSB report on the Platinum Jet accident.

Yea i was refering to the more recent 90 degree bank angle crash at TEB. But in terms of Platinum Jet, what would better Op Control have done to prevent it?

Let's say I loan you my car. Then you let your brother drive my car without my knowledge while you have it and then he starts driving for Uber & Lyft with it. Now, I the owner have no idea where the car is at any given moment, nor do I know who is in it and where it is going. The vehicle is owned by entity A, operated by B, with C driving it and no one is communicating with each other as to what the vehicle is doing. If your brother is involved in an accident and people start pointing fingers and looking to assign responsibility the owner had no idea his vehicle being operated by a third party at the time of the accident.

In today's world, that flight shouldn't happen because the crew must be qualified employees of the certificate holder and the management of the certificate must be aware of and authorize the trips.
