National Airlines Crash

Fine Air never recover from that accident because the FAA generally will become your neighbor and nothing is ever good enough for them. I would hate to be the POI or Maintenance Inspectors on that case.

And they were already neighbors prior to this... Was wondering if they'll pull thru. Any insight here from you veterans?

There was a Nat'l loadmaster on board... It's very, very sad...
Even if there is a company loadmaster on board, who is responsible for loading and securing the cargo, especially in a situation like this? For an airline, I am assuming the ramp crew would be responsible, but for military cargo, would the military themselves load the cargo and ultimately be responsible?

Some people are wondering or even assuming it was loaded incorrectly. Until the investigation is complete, there is no sense drawing this conclusion. It could easily have been a catastrophic failure of the equipment which holds the cargo in place.

God rest the souls of those crewmembers who lost their lives in this horrific tragedy and continued prayers go out to all affected by this.

Someone in the other thread mentioned the possibilities of things like trim runaways, as well. Although, I would think that would be a pretty rare thing to happen.
