NASA’s 2013 Astronaut Candidate Program

Holy space man! Just got a call today....I made the first round of interviews in Houston! There's 120 candidates now chasing about 12-14 spots. Interview is a 3 day trip to JSC for psych eval, medical records review, panel interview, language skills evaluation, and exploring around the center.

I don't realistically expect it to go any further than this, but the Houston trip will be fun! At the minimum, it will be worth the spread-cheeks dance I did in the flight doc's office to apply.

I am super happy and proud to hear that, Hook.

Hook and I flew Strike Eagles together at RAF Lakenheath and had a fair number of aviation adventures back in the day. To those of you that don't know him, let me just say that this all couldn't be happening to a better, smarter, more talented dude. I sincerely hope he makes the cut: the Astronaut corps will be lucky to have 'im.
