Many of y'all have experiences and backgrounds that makes me look like a water-boy.

As an example, I do not hold a JD nor am I typed in anything.

You're too humble. If you've gotten the first call you're already the best of the best of the best (sir), and you should ride that straight to the closest strip club.

Really, you've already done things most of us will only dream about. Guys like you will move up with this process, and I hope you make it all the way through just so we can say we heard of you once, and so that the guys here that know you can say "I always knew he'd make it."

Because with a record like yours, you've got more than a fighting chance, and that's awesome.

That's awesome! Call me crazy but I think it would be more fun to work in mission control, though.

I always wondered what happens when you fart.

Is it like a little thruster?

Not sure about that but there was an amusing article inAir & Space regarding an astronaut learning that sneezing while peeing is not a good idea.....

I am.

..made the first round of interviews last time.
Well I missed the thread the first time you applied and just saw this thread. I think this is one of the most awesome things I've ever read on here! Really you should be so proud to have gotten as far as you did the first go around. I mean, what an honor.....only a small number (compared to those who apply) of people get an interview and even fewer actually are selected, so I think that's quite the accomplishment in itself.

I hope you get further this time and are selected into the program. I just think this is damn exciting. Clayton Anderson was rejected like 14 or 15 times before he was finally accepted into the program.

I read this article/interview with Duane Ross, the Manager of the Astronaut Selection Office at Johnson Space Center on the interview/selection process and Bill Tarver, the Medical Director of the JSC clinical services branch.and it's pretty interesting;

The best of luck, I hope you get another shot. Show 'em the "right stuff" and don't give up!!!

The problem with flying for NASA is you're only going to log reaction engine time.

When that next job pops up needing inertialess thruster, impulse, zero point energy or contra-terrine power experience, they won't count any of that time. I heard that even the fusion power shops will only count NASA time 1 for 2.

But, mercifully, you will still be qualified at FedEx or AA.
