I've been using it for about two or three months now. Just keeping track of what I'm eating (and now knowing how bad the stuff I USED to eat was) combined with just light cardio, I've dropped 15 pounds since January. The things I REALLY like about the app are the barcode feature (even though sometimes it will come back with something COMPLETELY different than what you're scanning, so you have to double check it) and the "recipes" feature. We cook a lot at home since it's cheaper and we can control what's exactly in the food better. You can scan/input the ingredients, tell it how many servings the meal makes and then it comes up with how many calories per serving for you. My wife has been using it with me, and she's dropped about 10 lbs in the same time frame. We normally combine MFP with either MapMyRun or RunTracker for walks. Once her shin splints are gone, we're going to bump it up to running and go from there. Even better, my company will kick in money into our health savings account just for the two of us using a calorie tracker app.
And yes, this is a killer app for us pilots on the road a lot. I'm making MUCH better food choices now since I can see what's what without having to go to multiple web sites to dig through to find nutrition data. It's almost like some of these places don't WANT you to find the nutritional info.
You should've seen what it took for me to get Holiday Inn's breakfast menu's nutritional info. Now that I've put it all in to MFP and shared it with the world, I can see why!
