My XJT interview experience

They did the same thing to me in the HR portion, they seemed very angry and questioned my technical knowledge. What is an FMS, can you describe a jet engine, etc. Luckily I had studied up a bit and was able to answer. I would've been screwed if they asked me CAVOK, as I didn't know what that was. I think I would've gotten QNH.

I remember on my sim ride at UPS the guy got all huffy at me. Also, during the HR part they made fun of my Riddle degree (I'm not kidding).

I think they like to poke at you to see your reaction. Some guys have really thin skin and just can't take it.

Yeah, it can anywhere.

I remember one of the CPs who interviewed me during the HR portion and kinda pushed me, maybe poking fun, at something I had written on my resume. I laughed, talked about it a little, and then we moved on--I do think they sometime to stress you out a bit or test you to see how you take it.

I know QNH, but what's CAVOK? Never seen that on a METAR.
