My time to shine with Cape Air

Don't forget housekeeper Frau Blucher (with an umlaut on the 'u'), in the Mel Brooks film Young Frankenstein, played by Cloris Leachman. Whenever her name was spoken out loud, nearby horses reared up and whinnied in fright. It is hard to over-act in a Mel Brooks film!

Echoed in an homage during the closing credits of NPR's Car Talk.

So i hear they pick the base for you half way through your training? Anyone know about that? I would love to stay based near Boston but i am not sure if i will get a choice.

Good read, I've got an interview in November!
Do they really pick your base for you? I live in Kentucky now and am certainly not opposed to relocating, but I would have to have some idea of where I'm going... Lol

I am not sure. I really hope i get to choose (maybe top three choices and then they pick one of those?) but i would think it would be where the company needs are. I hear mostly for junior officers, they base them towards Montana or their Caribbean base.

If anyone inside Cape Air has any insight to this, i would love to hear it.

I agree that's a great question for the interview haha.
Did a bit more research, looks like you're just moved around a few times until you're more senior

I hear they put Salukis in the worst possible places :)

@jskibo I believe with the places they fly, i don't think there is such a thing.

...Wait, maybe Montana. :D

P.S. You sure sounded like a embry riddle fellow making a remark at the Salukis haha

I have a friend that is just finishing up training from a July class, once he gets to IOE then they tell him where his base is.
