I got lucky. I broke a plane so badly today that I missed my deadhead home and can't work that mess of a trip tomorrow. Turns out somebody actually picked it up out of open time. With our rigs (the only one we have) it pays 12 hours, but I don't think I'd pick it up even for that.

12 hours is an 18 hour/$1400 day trip out of open time, I'd be all over that. I had one 19 hour day trip and a slew of 18's (one to two a month on average in 2011) love 'em love 'em, love 'em. Best two day I did paid 26:12 credit.
I'm more than happy to sit in a cab and get paid, however I've never had one catch on fire before. I'd be freaking pissed at scheduling.
