So, I was planning on leaving my full time job on May 12, and attending Ari ben for some time building, and an mei. then heading back up to DC to cfi and work at the outback part time. Financially i had it al figured out. until yesterday. Management had caught word of my plans and decided to pull the plug sooner than i expected. I always thought i did a pretty good job at my full time work, and always tried my hardest. But they threw together every small mistake ive made in the last 6 months and threw it in my face....I was canned in the boardroom.....Donald Trump style. Oh well, now i get to be paid to teach people to fly airplanes full time. If anyone in the DC area needs to do some flying please hit me up.

TO be honest, Im not sad about being fired as I wanted/needed to quit that horrid desk job. But I am more pissed at the way it was handled. You work for someone for 3 years and this is how you are treated. Oh well. Lesson learned. And i couldnt have picked a better day to get canned. It was sunny and 75. friggin awesome out.

Turn the page....and lets start the next chapter in this adventure.

I am a 22 year Federal Employee hoping to take a buyout to resign. I am planning to go to Ari Ben at the beginning of June for the 50 hr time building. I wish you luck in your endeavor, I just hope there is room in this business for a 44 year old. This is going to be the only way I can build any time so here goes nothing.

Can I get a hell yeah for unemployment? Virginia is going to give me 333$ a week as long as i am looking for work. But whatever I make cfiing which is around 350 is deducted from that. so i wont make anything for the first month, but i will get paid while at ariben....training for future employment can and is approved. so, things kinda worked out there. Pluis some of the indep guys that were laid off got the govie to pay for type ratings. I know one guy who got a 737 type and the other guy got a citation type. I need to get them to pay for my cfii. That is on tap for Monday.

btw...70 and sunny today. and i get to fly in an hour with a student in the arrow. lifes good today.
