My First Solo

model700

gettin' there.
flew my first solo yesterday!

three take offs.
three landings.
I'm still alive and kickin'.

boring post. that is all.

Quite the experience hey? Everyone pilot remembers their first solo. I think I was praying more than I was flying ha

Congrats!

I remember my first solo, I porpoised on the first landing so it sounds like you did better than me!

Congrats! I had mine last week too, after a couple of weeks of not being able to flare (stupid mental block) it finally clicked and I was able to do it, enjoy the solos! Like the poster above said, I was praying for my engine to keep alive during takeoff, but once I got to altitude, I was fine! On to the cross countries (after the short/soft field takeoff and landings of course)!

Not a boring post at all. Congratz!!

It may not seem like it, but trust me when I say you're halfway done with your Private Pilot training.

Enjoy the ride!

Now you are totally screwed. It's like crack. The first high is always the best, and now you'll forever be trying to get that first feeling, but will constantly be let dwon.

Nice job. Enjoy it because, well, you earned it.

It's at KOQN (Brandywine) near Philadelphia. I was in a 172P.

Hopefully I'll start my cross country training next! The instructor said: "You're done the easy part now!"

Congrats! It's like the Mafia, you are now part of something you will never be able to get out of. I remember my first solo landing...I over flared, ballooned, and slammed the thing on the ground. The other two were fine though.

Nothing at all lame about being excited about your first solo. It's fantastic! Wish I could remember mine. Mostly what I remember is being shocked that anyone thought it was a good idea, but it all worked out. Congratulations! Now go learn some more stuff.

Nice Job! I was just there last week.

Next thing you know you'll be ready for that Spitfire on the west end of the field!
