I've always been interested in it, I just cant bring myself to the whole flying with no engine part

When you pull the throttle to idle, it is a fixed power setting and you adjust the flight path to either maintain a speed or increase/decrease it.

Just think of no engine as a fixed power setting.

The World distance record is 2200nm and was set in Argentina a few years ago.

Yep, thanks. I was tired, and yes, 3000k is a lonnnnnnnng flight. He was in a 4DM which had to help.

Seeing these pictures again make me even more anxious to go soaring for the first time this year this weekend. (staff checkout days)
